IMPACT Leisure Association has changed its name to IMPACT Support Services

This change occurred on the 1st November 2008. Nothing else has changed, our address, phone numbers, web site and most importantly, what we do, all remain the same.

Our reason for doing this is simple. Most of the time, we simply refer to ourselves as ‘IMPACT’ and this will continue into the future. When our previous name caused confusion it was due to people not knowing what we did. Many people thought, because of the word ‘leisure’ that we might have been a gym, or a travel agent but never a quality provider of disability and mental health services. Hence our reason to change!

Now, when people hear our full name for the first time they will know that we provide ‘support services’. They might not know what we support, and hopefully they’ll ask, but at least they won’t be wondering how much a gym membership with us costs. The name change also means that people who know us will still recognize our name, and the people who have a fond regard for IMPACT can allow that feeling to continue.
