The statistics released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) show that one in five Australians aged 16–85 years had a mental disorder in 2007, and (ABS 2003) indicated that one in every five Victorians (992,000 people) has a disability (ABS 2003), 277,500 of these people require assistance with self care, mobility, communication or coping with the activities of everyday life. Impact provides services to people aged 16 – 64 years old with an intellectual or neurological disability or with a mental health disorder.
