Impact Youth Mental Health Service - YPOD (Young People’s Own Direction)
If you are experiencing mental illness you are not alone! This can happen to anybody at anytime.
Impact offers you the opportunity to meet with other people who understand what you are experiencing and going through, to talk freely and openly whilst being valued and listened to, a place where information can be sought, guidance found, support is available, hope is offered in abundance and recovery is always on the agenda and a broad range of recovery techniques and activities that can be used to enhance self appreciation, self awareness and self confidence.
To achieve this, Impact is offering a Collaborative Recovery Model (CRM) of service provision, structured meaningful groups and interactions, tailored support to suit the individual, the use of reflective practices and communication mediums to reach out to young people with an approachable and understanding atmosphere.
What is in it for you? Why should you bother?
Ypod will deliver fun activities tailored to your needs, assist you with your personal growth and recovery, help you build on your independent living skills, increase your self-confidence, provide you with social interations and communications skills, aim to empower you to take control of your life, make you feel valued in a place where your views and rights are respected, provide a platform for active involvement in decision making leading towards positive change and increase your community connections and links.
