Impacts Y-pod (Young Person’s Own Direction) program is for young people who are experiencing mental health issues and offers a welcoming and safe environment that encompasses individualised support. Y-Pod is a non judgmental recovery based service that supports you to Live your Life your way!!
Impact's Mental Health Service offers recovery based day programs for people aged between 16-64 who have a mental illness or who are experiencing both mental health disorders and drug and alcohol related problems.
Our staff have come from many professional backgrounds including counselling, psychotherapy, social work, community development, creative arts, music and education.
Currently Impact Mental Health is working on the implementation of a person-centred strengths based coaching framework, known as the Collaborative Recovery Model (CRM). Consistent with developments in positive psychology, the model focuses on strengths and values, goals and actions, within a coaching framework, with an emphasis on the alliance between staff and participant, and the growth potential of the participant. By using the principles of coaching psychology, mental health staff members are leading change in the organisation by personal use of the principles and practices that they are also using to coach participants.
Our service is funded by the Department of Health (DoH) and aims to increase confidence and improve skills to assist participants to live independently in the community.
Impact's Mental Health Service is offered in two locations: Oakleigh and Frankston.
