Interpreting and translating Service

Impact is committed to providing accessible services to its participants.  As part of this commitment, participants and their close natural supports not able to communicate through written or spoken English have access to professional interpreting and translating services:

• when required to make significant decisions concerning their lives or
• where essential information needs to be communicated to inform decision making.

Effective communication between Impact and our participants is essential to delivering high quality services.

Planning for interpreting and translating

It is vital that we plan for this in advance, to ensure services are available when the need arises.
Coordinators / Managers will liaise with DHS or the appropriate translating service to organise a suitable interpreting or translating service at least three days before the meeting.
